About this beach

Boka Kokolishi stands out for its dark, almost black sand: fine crushed shells and sediment give the beach a very different look from the white sand around Kralendijk.

More of an atmosphere and nature stop than a classic swimming beach. Watch the surf and rocks; swimming is not ideal everywhere. Great for a short stop, photos and the contrast of sand and sea.

Bijzonder zwart zand

“Bijzonder zwart zand door de schelpjes. Uniek om te zien. Water was redelijk, snorkelen matig. Meer voor de foto en de bijzondere look.”

Anders dan wit zand

“Leuk anders dan de witte stranden. Niet de beste om te zwemmen, wel bijzonder.”

Kort bezoek is genoeg

“Mooi contrast met de rest van het eiland. Kort bezoek was genoeg.”
