About this beach

Lac Cai sits on the north side of Lac Bay, the large shallow lagoon on Bonaire’s east coast. The water is clear and usually calm — ideal for wading, swimming and exploring the mangrove setting.

You’ll mostly find locals and people avoiding the busier Sorobon. With luck you may see green sea turtles grazing in the seagrass. Bring reef-safe sunscreen and respect nature: don’t touch coral or wildlife.

Rustiger dan Sorobon

“Heerlijk rustig vergeleken met Sorobon. Ondiep water, mangroven en we zagen twee schildpadden. Locals overal, fijne sfeer.

Weinig schaduw, dus parasol meenemen.

Neem rifvriendelijke zonnebrand mee.”
