Playa Chikitu in Washington-Slagbaai is visually striking, but the water is known for strong current. Swimming and snorkelling are often discouraged — always check current warnings and local advice.
Come mainly for nature, quiet and the view. Stay out of the surf if you’re unsure. Park entry and a suitable vehicle are required; bring water and shade.

Mooi, niet zwemmen
“Mooi om te zien, maar zwemmen raden we af vanwege de stroming. Leuk voor foto's en even zitten. Blijf uit het water als je geen ervaren zwemmer bent.”
